We are so incredibly grateful to Melissa and Randy at The Dog’s Paw for the care, patience, and love they gave our boy Brooks.
We enrolled him in the board and train program while we were away on our first vacation, and as dog parents to a 1.5 year old golden with some nervous tendencies and behavioural challenges, leaving him was not easy. From the very beginning, Melissa and the entire team made us feel so supported!
They took such beautiful care of Brooks, not just in how they trained him, but in how they truly understood him. We came home to a more confident dog with better manners, and it honestly meant so much to us to see that shift in him.
This was our very first kennel experience, and we couldn’t have asked for a better one. There is a calm, caring energy there, and you can feel how much the team genuinely loves what they do and their animals!
More than anything, they gave us confidence. Confidence in Brooks, and confidence in ourselves as we continue his training. We now truly believe that with consistency and patience, he can keep growing and thriving thanks to you☺️.

The Dog’s Paw has been the absolute best daycare for my Shih Tzu Nikki. She started going about four years ago and immediately took to it. The minute we walked in the door Nikki would strut over to the kennel door, tail wagging, not even a goodbye to her momma and had a staffer take her in.
Recently Nikki became very ill with congestive heart failure while in their care. She was having seizures so the staff called Melissa, the owner to help manage the situation. Mel took her to the vet, got her medicated and kept her in her home for a week, ensuring utmost care and comfort while I made my way back home from Africa. She sent daily updates and photos so I could see improvements. And she rooted for miss Nikki the whole time!! Unfortunately, a week after my return Nikki passed away peacefully. She was 15.5 years old.
Never ever will I forget what the staff did for Nikki and the compassion they showed her. I am so grateful she was in their care when all this happened - I certainly would not have known what to do if this happened at home. Love you gals. Thanks again for your love for Nikki!! Keep it up!

Having gone on vacation, Our guy decided he wasn't going to let his sitter in our house. We were 6000 miles away and The Dog's Paw came to our rescue. They lovingly took him in when we were absolutely in a bind. I just picked him up two weeks later. He is happy and he is healthy. I would absolutely take him back there. Our guy is so reactive to people and Dogs. Their training allowed us to continue our vacation without worry. Between emails and Facebook we were able to Check-in and see how comfortable he had become. I would give them 20 stars if I could.

I’ve been boarding here for years and I love this kennel. They’re honestly the only kennel I trust with my bulldogs. Everyone who works here cares so much for the animals, and they are very competent at handling large/strong breeds. Awesome local family business.

The pet resort is very organized and efficient! The first time I went they wouldn't take Emma without proof.... I understand and respect that. Close to town and now I just book online, pay online and drop off puppy...
